filler
when writing a chapbook
there will be a point
where one is pressured
into writing some filler poems
the literary equivalent of
packing peanuts
there to space out
and protect the
heaviest poems
with something light
and airy
not much thought
because I had to hit
a deadline
but i'm free from that assignment
so
why do i keep writing
literary filler?
